SA Hope NPC Brings Digital Learning to Maboelleng Primary School.

SEBOKENG– Learners at Maboelleng Primary School in Sebokeng Zone 11 have received a major boost to their digital education following the official handover of a newly refurbished and fully equipped computer laboratory donated by SA Hope NPC.

The official handover took place on Friday, 14 August 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00, bringing together education stakeholders, local government representatives, school leadership and members of the community to celebrate an important investment in the future of the school’s learners.

Among the distinguished guests attending the handover were Cllr Sipho Radebe, Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Development at Emfuleni Local Municipality, and Mr Victor Thetha, Chief Director, together with school management, educators and other stakeholders.

The handover formed part of SA Hope NPC’s commitment to supporting education and promoting digital inclusion by providing learners with access to technology and creating learning environments that better prepare young people for an increasingly digital world. As Sa Hope is donating one computer lab per province.

As part of the project, SA Hope NPC completely refreshed and equipped the school’s computer laboratory. The walls were freshly painted, while new equipment, furniture and other resources were installed to create a comfortable and functional learning space.

The computer laboratory was equipped with:

* 21 desktop computers and computer desks
* 21 headphones
* 40 chairs
* 1 printer
* 1 projection screen
* 1 projector
* 1 whiteboard
* 2 air conditioners

The refurbishment means learners at Maboelleng Primary School now have greater access to computers and other digital learning resources within their own school.

Beyond providing computer equipment, the project was designed to create an environment where learners can develop practical digital skills and where educators can incorporate technology into teaching and learning.

The addition of a projector, projection screen, printer and whiteboard also provides teachers with tools to support more interactive lessons, while the installation of two air conditioners ensures that learners and educators can use the facility in a comfortable environment.

The initiative at Maboelleng Primary School forms part of SA Hope NPC’s broader programme of donating and equipping computer laboratories at selected schools across South Africa, with Maboelleng Primary School selected as a beneficiary school in Gauteng.

The organisation’s directors, Mr Johnny Zhuang, Mr Arshud Shaik and Ms Kabelo Lehobo, believe the initiative has the potential to bring meaningful and lasting change to schools and the communities they serve.

For the directors, providing learners with access to technology is not simply about donating computers. It is about creating opportunities, improving access to digital education and giving young people the tools they need to participate confidently in an increasingly technology-driven world.

They believe that initiatives such as these can make a significant difference in the lives of learners by exposing them to technology from an early age and helping schools create stronger foundations for digital learning.
