SA Hope Unveils Computer Lab at Retlakgona Primary School

For the learners of Retlakgona Primary School, 7 September 2026 marked more than the arrival of new computers. It represented new possibilities, new skills and an opportunity to experience a world increasingly shaped by technology. As part of its commitment to supporting education and uplifting communities, SA Hope NPC officially handed over a fully equipped computer laboratory to Retlakgona Primary School in the North West Province. The initiative forms part of SA Hope’s broader mission to help young South Africans gain access to the resources and skills they need to build brighter futures. The new facility was equipped with 21 computers, 21 headphones and 40 chairs, while SA Hope also contributed blinds, paint and other improvements to help transform the space into a comfortable and welcoming learning environment.SA Hope believes that where a child goes to school should not determine whether they have an opportunity to develop essential digital skills. By investing in computer laboratories and educational resources, the organisation hopes to help close that gap and give more learners the confidence to participate in the digital world. The Retlakgona Primary School computer lab is another step towards that vision. Behind every computer is a learner with potential. Behind every new skill is another possibility. And sometimes, giving a child access to the right tools today can help change what they believe is possible tomorrow.
